The website gives you a chance to put yourself out there by expressing yourself and your desired partner in your profile. It gives just the right amount of interaction between you and the other gender users, through the ‘interested’ icons and through a brief chat (one user at a time). Users’ accounts are paused during the chat stage. This allows them to focus on themselves without any distraction from other users’ interest or chat notifications. The website has a more serious tone to it. It connects the man to the lady’s guardian in a short period to make it official, not necessarily final, however. Going official alters the dynamics of the relationship to a more realistic one where the man and woman get to know each other in a better light.

Why do users pay for Wow membership?

We believe at Wow that your membership is an investment in yourselves. The membership fee is very small compared to what the clients are offered. We hope this small fee encourages clients to invest time and to actively visit the site and interact with other users to successfully find their desired marriage partner faster.

Can I cancel my subscription and get refunded?

You can cancel subscription any time. Refund is only within two weeks of subscription if you have not used some of the main features. Administration fees with the amount of 20% of payment is deducted from the original fee.

Why do users pay for every chat/call?

Users are expected to pay for every chat/call a minimum fee. This is to ensure the website stays true to its vision. The vision is to allow for minimum short interaction that leads to real world proposals outside the site. Paying for each chat/call ensures that these initiated chats/calls are an investment and have the right intention, which is getting to know the each other for marriage and nothing else.

Why does the man pay for the lady’s family contact details during the proposal stage?

Since the man is the one who proposes as is in our Saudi culture, the man is required to pay a minimum fee to receive the lady’s name details and family contact information.

This is to protect the identity and reputation of ladies on Wow. Wow cannot give out these details to every user. Paying for the contact details shows the man is ready to take a serious step to propose outside of Wow.

Can I cancel my subscription?

Yes, you may cancel your subscription any time. However, cancelation does not ensure refund. Terms and conditions apply.

Can I upgrade my subscription?

Yes, you may upgrade your subscription at any time.

Is my subscription renewed automatically?

Subscriptions are not renewed automatically. We value your money and investment at Wow and we respect your interest in continuing with us as well as your availability. Therefore, you are always welcomed to renew your subscription. We may, however, send you a reminder.

What happens if I break one of the terms or conditions?

Because we care about our clients and take them seriously and understand the objective of their existence on our site, we expect all our users to be genuine and treat other users with respect and integrity. If in any case, God forbid, any of the terms or conditions are broken, the membership will be terminated, or a legal action will be taken from Wow against a client. It depends on the type of term or condition broken.

Can I pause my subscription?

Clients can pause their subscription for any reason from your settings. Pausing will pause all features and you will not be visible to other users. We actually encourage pausing subscription so that your time membership does not go to waste. We value your time and money. One reason for pausing can be, you got engaged, either via Wow or from an outside source. You might also be busy in life and do not have time to invest on the site.

Why does signing up at Wow require the real identity?

Wow is an official site with real users and real identities. The objective of the users’ existence is noble and for that reason, identities are a major part of Wow’s vision. We want to make sure that users are interacting with other real users. This is to protect the time and investment of Wow users.

What are the nationalities of the users on Wow?

Wow users are only Saudi national. We understand the marriage culture and its family values and how most Saudis want to marry from their nationality. For that reason, users are only Saudi.

Are the identities verified?

Yes, the identities are verified. Users are required to upload a screenshot proof of identity from Abshar or Tawaklna. Our team verifies the identities and makes sure that details are accurate before activating members’ accounts.

Why do you need proof of identity?

To verify user identity and make sure that they are who they claim to be. Also, we want to make sure that each user has only one account.

Who sees my ID and other documents?

The admin in charge is the only person who sees official documents to verify identities.

Can other users see my real name and details?

Other users cannot see any user’s name or details such as contact information and the sort. These are for verification purposes and for proposals at a later stage.

When do our identifies become revealed to the other user?

Users can know each other’s identities during the proposal stage.

Why does not the site allow for married men to become members?

We wish all couples a wonderful marriage. Our aim from this site is to assist in getting those who cannot find their marriage partners, find them with us.

Can someone on Wow sign up for someone else?

Yes, they can, however it would require them to have access to the other user’s verification documents to upload on the site during the signing up stage and their mobile to receive the activation code. Nevertheless, we encourage our users to sign up for themselves and actively engage with other users.

How long is chat between the two users?

A chat is only 7 days long. The duration starts from the moment the chat begins between the two parties.

Is it ok to give my contact details such as the email, Snap ID, BBM, or any other form of contact details during chat and why?

Contact information may not be given in the chat stage. This action breaks one of Wow’s terms and conditions and will lead to membership termination. Communication should strictly stay on the site. Wow stresses on keeping communication very formal all the way to the proposal stage.

Why is the chat only open for 7 days activated from the time the users start chatting?

The chat is only 7 days long because we recognise that this is just a steppingstone to knowing the person. You can never know a person fully virtually whether it be 7 days or months. However, 7 days are enough to know whether one wants to move outside the site into the real world and get to know each other through an official proposal. After the proposal, each party can get a better perception of the other one and make a clearer and quick decision to carry on or end the proposal.

Wow is in line with the Saudi culture. In our Saudi culture, the man is given the lady’s family contacts and not hers, at least initially.

Who does the proposing?

Why is the guy the only user who does the proposing and not the girl?

A lady on Wow can express interest and request a chat. However, when it comes to a proposal, we believe at Wow that that is a man’s role. Wow is no different than real offline proposals. Men do the proposing in our wonderful Saudi culture.

Can the lady user propose to the guy?

Why is the number of the guardian given to the guy proposing and not the lady’s personal number?

Because we treasure our Saudi culture and its values, we understand how sensitive it is to give out a lady’s number to strange men. Therefore, to protect our lady’s anonymity and reputation, we refrain from giving out her personal number. Just the same way when in the real world the man receives the lady’s family number and not her personal number, the same is on Wow. As stated in our vision, Our vision is to create a wonderful shift in the marriage seeking culture, where the old meets the new, in harmony with the Saudi culture and traditions.
